I have been a Finish Carpenter for 30 years, but because I love deck construction I decided to specialize in landscape carpentry when my youngest daughter graduated from college. Constructing hundreds of decks and related structures such as pergolas and trellises since 1998 has given me a lot of experience. I'm also a student reading all of the relevant books and magazines available. I was the first person in Illinois to be certified as a Master Deck Builder by the North American Deck and Railing Association.
